02What YouTube Data LazyTube Uses
LazyTube only accesses the YouTube data necessary for the features you authorize. This can include:
- Your YouTube channel ID
- Your YouTube channel name/title
- Connected channel information needed to identify and verify the selected channel
- Playlists needed for playlist selection
- Information needed to perform authorized video uploads
- Upload-related video metadata and supported YouTube settings, such as title, description, tags, category, visibility, scheduling/publication settings and audience settings

05Video and Thumbnail Files
Video files selected for upload are handled locally by the LazyTube extension and uploaded directly to YouTube. LazyTube does not upload or store those video files on its backend.
Thumbnail files are handled locally and sent to YouTube when supported. LazyTube does not store thumbnail files on its backend.
LazyTube supports YouTube Shorts uploads. Custom thumbnail uploads for Shorts are not currently supported.

When needed to perform an operation you have authorized, LazyTube's backend can obtain a short-lived access token.
