Getting Started
What is LazyTube?
LazyTube is a YouTube upload automation tool that helps creators save time by uploading multiple videos and Shorts in batches. Manage upload profiles, metadata, thumbnails for long-form videos, and publishing settings from one convenient extension.
Do I need a YouTube account?
Yes. You need a Google account with a YouTube channel. You'll connect your channel through Google's official authorization process and grant LazyTube the permissions needed to upload videos on your behalf.
YouTube Connection and Privacy
How does LazyTube access my YouTube account?
LazyTube uses Google's authorization process, so you don't give LazyTube your Google password. You explicitly approve access through Google. The connection allows LazyTube to perform the YouTube operations needed for its upload features. You can disconnect your YouTube channel through the available account controls.
Does LazyTube store my videos?
No. Your video and thumbnail files are selected from your local computer and are not stored on LazyTube's backend. LazyTube does process account information, upload settings, and related information needed to operate the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my account and data?
Visit our Account & Data Deletion page and submit a deletion request. The request is reviewed and processed according to our deletion procedures. Deleting your LazyTube account is separate from deleting your YouTube channel or videos, and you should check your subscription status when requesting deletion.
Is LazyTube affiliated with YouTube or Google?
No. LazyTube is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or YouTube.
What happens to my YouTube videos if I delete my LazyTube account?
Deleting your LazyTube account does not delete videos already uploaded to YouTube or delete your YouTube channel. It removes LazyTube account-related data according to the deletion process. Your YouTube account remains separate.
Uploading and Features
Does LazyTube upload videos to my YouTube channel?
Yes. Once your YouTube channel is connected, select your local video folder, configure your upload settings, and press RUN. LazyTube processes your queue and uploads videos to your connected channel. You remain in control of your publishing settings.
Does LazyTube support YouTube Shorts?
Yes. LazyTube supports uploading both Shorts and long-form videos. You can use your upload workflow and supported publishing settings for both formats. Some features differ by format; for example, custom thumbnail uploads are currently supported for long-form videos, not Shorts.
Can I upload custom thumbnails for Shorts?
Not currently. LazyTube supports automatic thumbnail matching for long-form videos using matching filenames. Custom thumbnail uploads for Shorts are not supported in the current version.
Can I upload videos to multiple YouTube channels?
LazyTube supports upload profiles for organizing settings for different upload workflows. Connect and select the appropriate YouTube channel and profile before starting a batch. Available profiles and connected-channel options depend on your account and current extension functionality.
Can I set titles, descriptions, and tags automatically?
Yes. Configure video metadata and other supported settings through your upload profiles. LazyTube can also provide AI-assisted metadata generation where available. Always review generated metadata before publishing.
Can I schedule videos or upload them as Unlisted or Private?
LazyTube supports publishing options including Public, Private, Unlisted, and scheduled uploads where supported. The options available may depend on the selected settings and YouTube's requirements.
Can I pause, resume, or stop a batch?
LazyTube provides upload queue controls, including available pause, resume, and stop actions. What happens to an upload already in progress can depend on its current state. Check the queue before restarting a batch to avoid unintentionally repeating work.
Plans and Billing
Is LazyTube free?
LazyTube offers a Free plan with a monthly upload allowance, as well as paid plans for creators who need more uploads. Visit our Pricing page to compare plans and current limits.
How many videos can I upload each month?
Your monthly allowance depends on your plan. The current limits are Free: 50 uploads, Starter: 100 uploads, Pro: 200 uploads, and Business: 500 uploads per month. Only successful uploads count towards your monthly allowance. YouTube API quotas and other Google restrictions may also affect uploading.
How do I cancel my paid subscription?
Sign in to your LazyTube account and use the available billing management option to manage or cancel your subscription. Check the billing information shown during cancellation to confirm when your plan will change.
Troubleshooting and Support
Why did an upload fail?
Uploads can fail because of an interrupted internet connection, an expired or revoked authorization, invalid metadata, YouTube restrictions, or API quota limits. Check the error shown in LazyTube, confirm your channel is connected, and retry when appropriate. If the problem persists, contact support with the error message.
Does LazyTube guarantee that every video will upload successfully?
No. LazyTube automates the workflow, but successful uploads still depend on YouTube availability, account permissions, API quotas, network connectivity, and video compliance with YouTube's rules.
How do I get help?
